Draft for school review. Questhollow is a classroom game run by [Teacher name] at [School / district]. This page explains, in plain words, what the game keeps. Questions or deletion requests: [contact email].
Your hero name (a nickname you choose), your class hour, and your game progress: level, XP, gold, items, pets, daily tasks, and your last scores. If your teacher sends a writing prompt, we also keep the answer you type, so please do not put private information in it.
Your teacher gives you a random username and password. They are not made from your name, and the game never asks for your email, your school account, or your real name. Only your teacher has the sheet that says which username belongs to which student. The game asks for your password again every couple of days.
No grades, photos, voice, location, birthdate, home address, or phone number. No ads, no tracking cookies, and no analytics. Nothing is sold or shared for marketing.
Your teacher can see your hero name, class hour, progress, and any writing answers you send. Other students can see hero names and levels (for example on a raid team). The teacher is the only person who can see class codes.
Game data is stored with Supabase (database and sign-in) and the website is hosted by Netlify. The fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which can see that a page was opened from your internet address, as with many websites.
Game data is deleted at the end of the school year, or sooner if a parent, guardian, or student asks. Your teacher can delete a hero or a whole class at any time.
Pick a hero name that is not your real name. Ask your teacher if you want your hero deleted or have a question about your data.
This text is a plain-language draft, not legal advice. Have your school or district technology office review it before students use the game.
Half of this level's XP was lost. You'll be back on your feet in 5:00.
